Softball Game Preview: Cary-Grove Trojans vs. Crystal Lake South Gators

The Cary-Grove Trojans will take on the Crystal Lake South Gators at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Cary-Grove and 25 for Crystal Lake South dating back to last season.

Huntley hit Cary-Grove with a five-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 13-3 to the Red Raiders.

Meanwhile, Crystal Lake South came up short against Lakes on Tuesday and fell 9-4.

Crystal Lake South's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Cary-Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.

Cary-Grove took their victory against Crystal Lake South in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
