Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Milledgeville Athletic Club

Grace Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt an 84-40 loss at the hands of the Milledgeville Athletic Club Bears on Saturday. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.

Milledgeville Athletic Club was led to victory by Greyson Rogers and Branden Conner. Rogers posted 31 points, while Conner earned 21 points and seven boards. Rogers continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Gauge Brown also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

The win keeps Milledgeville Athletic Club at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will take on South Aiken Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Milledgeville Athletic Club, they will face off against Twiggs Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
