Volleyball Recap: Decatur Community's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Decatur Community had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Colby Eagles. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Decatur Community got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 26-24.

Decatur Community found their leader in sophomore Ella Williby, who had 24 digs and two aces.

The victory got Decatur Community back to even at 16-16. As for Colby, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-20.

Coincidentally, Decatur Community and Colby will both be playing Quinter the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
