Basketball Game Preview: Schurz Bulldogs vs. Raby Raiders

The Schurz Bulldogs will challenge the Raby Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Schurz has three straight wins, Raby has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Schurz didn't have too much trouble with Clemente as they won 67-51.

It was another big night for MICHAEL CHANEY JR, who went 10 of 17 en route to 23 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was TERRANCE BROUGHTON, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Raby came up short against Wells on Thursday, falling 73-47. While losing is never fun, Raby can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 666th, while Wells is ranked 295th).

Schurz is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Raby, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
