Softball Recap: Dover Find Success

While Dover's win against Indian Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crimson Tornadoes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Braves 6-4. The Crimson Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jenna Molk was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March.

Dover's record now sits at 15-2. As for Indian Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dover will face off against Steubenville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Indian Valley, they will head out to square off against Strasburg-Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
