Recap: Deltona Wolves vs. Pine Ridge Panthers
The Deltona Wolves won the last time they faced the Pine Ridge Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Deltona walked away with a 55-48 victory over Pine Ridge. That's two games straight that Deltona has won by exactly seven points.
Despite the defeat, Pine Ridge had strong showings from Jyles Newman, who scored 11 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds, and Canyon Powers, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Laird, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Deltona and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Pine Ridge, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deltona will take on DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Spruce Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spruce Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
