Softball Recap: Mira Loma Takes a Loss

Mira Loma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bear River Bruins, falling 15-0.

Mira Loma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bear River, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mira Loma will square off against Wheatland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Matadors will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games. As for Bear River, they will take on Oakmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.23 runs per game on average), something the Bruins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
