Mankato West waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Marshall Tigers. The Scarlets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.
Cora Aanenson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
