Softball Recap: Tellico Plains' Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Tellico Plains was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Girls Prep Bruisers, sneaking past 6-4.

Addison Joines was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Tellico Plains was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Girls Prep only posted a batting average of .286.

Tellico Plains' win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Girls Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Coming up, Tellico Plains will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Meigs County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Girls Prep, they will take on Farragut in a tournament on Friday. Girls Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
