Gallup is 7-0 against Belen since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Gallup Bengals will look to defend their home court against the Belen Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Gallup knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Belen likes a good challenge.

Gallup is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Farmington, who was ranked fifth at the time (Gallup was ranked third). Gallup walked away with a 64-51 win over Farmington on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-14, which was the final score in Belen's tilt against Los Lunas on Tuesday. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gallup's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Belen, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Everything came up roses for Gallup against Belen in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-23 win. Will Gallup repeat their success, or does Belen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
