Baseball Recap: Tomales Comes Up Short

Tomales was the 11-1 winner over Grace Christian Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tomales Braves fell 8-5 to the Grace Christian Academy Lions on Thursday.

Lucas Alves put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Alves was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Alves is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Alves wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Stran Stevens, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Tomales now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grace Christian Academy, their record is now 2-0.

Looking ahead, Tomales will square off against Cornerstone Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 21st. Grace Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Elsie Allen at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th.
