Basketball Recap: Harmony Area Takes a Loss

Harmony Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Penns Manor Comets, falling 51-29. The matchup marked the Owls' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brady Hagens was Harmony Area's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Jacob Pearce took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with six assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penns Manor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vinny Myers, who posted 12 points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Kuzemchak, who had 12 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Harmony Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Penns Manor, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Harmony Area will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th. As for Penns Manor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-48 victory against Cambria Heights on the 30th.
