Volleyball Recap: Coronado Cougars vs. Faith Lutheran Crusaders

After flying high against Somerset Sky Pointe last Wednesday, Coronado came back down to earth. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Lutheran Crusaders on Wednesday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Faith Lutheran scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Coronado's loss came despite strong showings from ISABELLE GUERZON and JULIE BECKHAM. GUERZON had 17 digs and two aces, while BECKHAM had 13 kills, 13 digs, and two aces. BECKHAM is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season.
