Basketball Recap: Doane Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

Doane Academy took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 75-35 stomp they got against the Riverside Rams. Doane Academy has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Riverside, too.

Riverside dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Doane Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to face off against LEAP Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Riverside is facing LEAP Academy at the right time seeing as LEAP Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
