Basketball Recap: Jace Johnson and Justice Goins Secure Win for Patterson

A well-balanced attack led Patterson over Sierra in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Patterson Tigers took down the Sierra Timberwolves 57-38. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-36 on January 2nd.

Leading Patterson to victory were Justice Goins and Jace Johnson. Goins went 7 for 15 on his way to 19 points, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Troyce Harrison, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Patterson's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Sierra, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Patterson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-45 victory against Orestimba on the 27th. As for Sierra, they will face off against East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
