Baseball Recap: Ringgold Gets the Win

Ringgold hadn't done well against Uniontown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams never let the Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Red Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The result came thanks to Tyler Fisher's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gavin Angotti, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Andrew Sprinkle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Ringgold's record is now 5-8. As for Uniontown, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Ringgold will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
