Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Victorious

Oak Ridge won the last time they faced Lodi and things went their way on Thursday too. The Oak Ridge Trojans came out on top against the Lodi Flames by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Ethan Lamb tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Hubbard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Busalacchi, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Oak Ridge's record is now 2-0. As for Lodi, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge will square off against Franklin at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lodi will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Downey at 4:00 p.m. on March 11th.
