Recap: North Charleston Cougars vs. Hanahan Hawks
The North Charleston Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hanahan, falling 61-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Charleston in their matchups with Hanahan: they've now lost six in a row.
Hanahan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashtyn Adams out in front who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Adams hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylah Hughes, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
North Charleston dropped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hanahan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.
North Charleston will face off against Philip Simmons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Philip Simmons is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Hanahan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Battery Creek at 6:00 p.m.
