Volleyball Recap: Adan Hernandez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Fernando over Sylmar

San Fernando lost against Sylmar back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The San Fernando Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sylmar Spartans. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adan Hernandez, who had 27 digs. Those 27 digs gave Hernandez a new career-high. Tona Flores was another key player, getting 14 digs.

San Fernando now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sylmar, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Fernando will host Reseda at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sylmar, they will welcome Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
