Recap: Imani Christian Academy Saints vs. Neighborhood Academy
The Imani Christian Academy Saints's four-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Neighborhood Academy 80-51 at home. Imani Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Imani Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Brazil, who scored 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Avery Wesley, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Imani Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Neighborhood Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Imani Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 718th, while Imani Christian Academy is ranked 128th). As for Neighborhood Academy, they will be playing at home against Aquinas Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 392 points over their last five matchups.
