Baseball Game Preview: St. Margaret's Tartans vs. Royal Highlanders

The St. Margaret's Tartans will challenge the Royal Highlanders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, St. Margaret's came up short against Victor Valley and fell 12-9.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Royal's offense. They fell 3-0 to Palos Verdes on Tuesday. The loss was the Highlanders' first of the season.

Dustin Dunnwoody got Royal off to a strong start despite the final result, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Dunnwoody has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Royal fell to 4-1. As for St. Margaret's, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
