Basketball Game Preview: Chief Leschi Warriors vs. Forks Spartans

Chief Leschi is 1-6 against Forks since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Chief Leschi Warriors will head out to square off against the Forks Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Chief Leschi ended up a good deal behind Morton/White Pass and lost 44-28. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 73 points the game before, Forks was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 63-20 loss at the hands of Napavine. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Tigers are ranked 38th).

Chief Leschi's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Forks, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Chief Leschi might still be hurting after the 46-24 loss they got from Forks when the teams last played back in January. Can Chief Leschi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
