Football Recap: Great Plains Lutheran Comes Up Short

Great Plains Lutheran fell victim to Britton-Hecla and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Braves. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Holden Karli threw for 46 yards on two of five attempts. Logan Bergan was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.

Great Plains Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Britton-Hecla, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Great Plains Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on DeSmet at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Britton-Hecla, they will square off against Waubay/Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
