Baseball Recap: Vinal RVT Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Vinal RVT's offense. They fell just short of the Wolcott RVT Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Jackson Kleczkowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Vinal RVT saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Rembisz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Rembisz scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Vinal RVT and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Wolcott RVT, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Vinal RVT by a score of 2-0 later that day.
