Baseball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to the Lake Arthur Tigers.

Ayden Hollie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That hit marked the first that he got this season. Another player making a difference was Owen Vincent, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lake Arthur, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midland will host Crowley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Arthur, they will take on Jennings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Arthur knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Jennings likes a good challenge.
