On Monday Allyson Christmas struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). The performance also marked the fewest walks (one) Christmas has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with less than two walks. For the year, she has an ERA of 7.75 over 28 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Christmas and Ripley will be playing in front of their home fans against Tishomingo County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 62 places lower in Mississippi), but they're not letting that get them down.
