American Christian School extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Holly Cilento. American Christian School came out on top against the Calvary Academy Warrior by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday with plenty of help from Cilento, who had ten digs, six kills, two aces, and one block. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

While American Christian School won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23.

American Christian School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Layla Fernandez, who had five digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Fernandez a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Rachel Ramirez, who had three aces and two blocks.

They weren't the only good servers: American Christian School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.

American Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Calvary Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coincidentally, American Christian School and Calvary Academy will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. Calvary Academy will host Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while American Christian School will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
