Baseball Recap: Okeechobee Continues Road Dominance on Friday

LaBelle typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Okeechobee proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Cowboys/Cowgirls. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Brahmans also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2019.

Okeechobee's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for LaBelle, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Looking ahead, Okeechobee will face off against Cardinal Newman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Brahmans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for LaBelle, they have already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Mariner on the 7th.
