Basketball Recap: Elk Grove Comes Up Short

Elk Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Barrington Fillies/Broncos and fell 73-46. While losing is never fun, the Grenadiers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Fillies/Broncos are ranked 59th).

Elk Grove's loss dropped their record down to 3-27. As for Barrington, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Coming up, Elk Grove will challenge Glenbard South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Barrington, they will welcome Dundee-Crown at 7:30 p.m. on February 26th.
