Volleyball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado was the 2-0 winner over Granbury when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Granbury to victory were Kyndal Cardwell and Kailynne Sermarini. Cardwell had 15 digs and one assist, while Sermarini had.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Granbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Coronado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Monterey on the 29th. As for Granbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Frenship on the 29th.
