Softball Game Preview: Herscher Tigers vs. Manteno Panthers

For the second straight game, Herscher will face off against Manteno. The Tigers will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herscher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Herscher is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Manteno on Monday. They fell 4-1 to the Panthers. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

RyLyn Adams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Manteno pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Herscher, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
