Volleyball Recap: Northside Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Northside Christian and Tree of Life Christian, and Tree of Life Christian kept the tradition alive. The Lions fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Northside Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Tree of Life Christian work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 28-26, 19-25, 23-25, 15-9.

Karis Vanderwarker paced Northside Christian's offense, picking up 22 kills. Vanderwarker got some help from Lexi Baker and her 33 assists. Salma Bah controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Northside Christian's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4. As for Tree of Life Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

Northside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tree of Life Christian, they will be playing at home against East Knox at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
