Soccer Recap: Richwoods Takes Down Geneseo in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Richwoods rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Geneseo Maple Leafs by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Richwoods.

Ponsai Sophanavong and Jax Shilevinatz scored both of Richwoods' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Richwoods' win bumped their record up to 12-9-2. As for Geneseo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Looking ahead, Richwoods will face off against Rock Island at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Richwoods' defense better be ready for this one: Rock Island have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season. Geneseo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
