Recap: Crofton Warriors vs. Wausa Vikings
The Crofton Warriors were the 61-53 winner over the Wausa Vikings when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The match between Crofton and Wausa wasn't particularly close, with Crofton falling 44-30.
Crofton got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Seth Pinkelman and
Blayke Skillings, who each put up six points.
Wausa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Schindler led the charge by scoring 13 points. Preston Schlote was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Crofton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Wausa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.
Crofton and Norfolk Catholic will face off at 2:15 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Norfolk Catholic will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Crofton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wausa, they will head out on the road to challenge Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomfield is coming into the game with three straight wins at home, so Wausa is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
