Baseball Recap: Grosse Ile Comes Up Short

Grosse Ile was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Flat Rock Rams, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Grosse Ile saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Korczyk, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Max Myers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Grosse Ile's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Flat Rock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Grosse Ile will be playing at home against Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Flat Rock, they will face off against Carlson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
