Softball Recap: Notre Dame Extends Winning Streak to Three

Notre Dame had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Wilcox Chargers as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Skylar Loo was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. Eliana Crespin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Wilcox, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Notre Dame didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-1 victory against Maria Carrillo on the 5th. As for Wilcox, they have also already played their next match, a 7-2 win against Leigh on the 5th.
