Baseball Recap: Sunlake Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sunlake's offense. They fell just short of the Wesley Chapel Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Seahawks in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Sunlake got a good showing from Cameron Nunez, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

Sunlake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wesley Chapel, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.

Coming up, Sunlake will take on Land O' Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Land O' Lakes has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wesley Chapel, they will face off against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Wesley Chapel: 3.2, Osceola: 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
