Basketball Game Preview: Rector Cougars vs. Bay Yellowjackets

Rector hasn't had much luck against Bay recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rector Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Bay Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Rector was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 70-66 to East Poinsett County. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bay didn't have too much trouble with Marmaduke on Monday as they won 70-54.

Bay is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Rector, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
