It's playoff time, and Southern Nash had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Eastern Alamance Eagles by a score of 5-2 on Thursday. The win was just business as usual for the Firebirds, who after 24 games remain undefeated this season.

ANNA DICKINSON spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on one hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, NOEL DOBBINS was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. CARLEE BECKHAM was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Southern Nash hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matches.

Southern Nash's record now sits at 24-0. As for Eastern Alamance, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-8 record.

Southern Nash has already played their next game, a 5-0 defeat against South Johnston on the 16th. Eastern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
