Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Victorious

The Calvary Christian Warriors didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 62-58 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Despite the loss, North Tampa Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Tysen Jefferson, who shot 63% from the field en route to 27 points and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, Jefferson now owns an excellent 44.4% three-point shooting accuracy. Vuk Jankovic was another key player, putting up nine points.

Calvary Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian will be playing at home against Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Christian's defense better be ready for this one: Osceola has averaged an impressive 68.8 points per game this season. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bell Creek Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 69.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
