Basketball Game Preview: Landon Bears vs. Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas

Landon is 1-9 against Georgetown Prep since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Landon Bears will face off against the Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas at 7:30 p.m. Landon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Tuesday, Landon ended up a good deal behind St. Albans and lost 77-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Georgetown Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 62-57 to Episcopal. While the Little Hoyas didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Maroon 12-6 in the first quarter.

Landon's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Georgetown Prep, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Landon was taken down by Georgetown Prep 75-41 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Landon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
