Basketball Game Preview: Osseo-Fairchild Thunder vs. Augusta Beavers

The Osseo-Fairchild Thunder will head out on the road to take on the Augusta Beavers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Osseo-Fairchild and five for Augusta.

Osseo-Fairchild lost 63-41 to Melrose-Mindoro on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Mustangs are ranked 188th).

Meanwhile, Augusta came up short against Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Thursday and fell 60-47.

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Osseo-Fairchild, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Osseo-Fairchild came up short against Augusta when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 73-67. Can Osseo-Fairchild avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
