Basketball Recap: Withrow Takes a Loss

Withrow lost against Woodward back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Withrow Tigers had to suffer through a 63-26 loss at the hands of the Woodward Bulldogs. The Tigers were down 47-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Arielle Gee continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Woodward, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Gee has scored at least a third of Woodward's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mi'Aisha Tate, who posted eight points.

Withrow's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Woodward, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Withrow will challenge Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodward, they will face off against Norwood at 1:00 p.m. on February 8th.
