Football Recap: Law Find Success

Law lost to Xavier back in October of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Lawmen won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Falcons 28-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lawmen.

Among those leading the charge was Matthew Witteman, who threw for 276 yards and one touchdown while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (141.9).

When it comes to explaining why Xavier lost, don't look at Oli Obi. Despite the final result, he rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.

Law's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Xavier, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
