Soccer Recap: Easley Takes a Loss

Easley lost against J.L. Mann on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Green Wave came up short against the Patriots, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Easley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while J.L. Mann are ranked second).

This is the second loss in a row for Easley and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for J.L. Mann, they pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easley will challenge Mauldin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mauldin's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Easley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for J.L. Mann, they will square off against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
