Basketball Recap: Hannah Cratic's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miller County over Mitchell County

If Miller County was riding high fresh off their 56-15 takedown of Pataula Charter Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miller County Pirates fell 44-36 to the Mitchell County Eagles on Monday. The Pirates have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Miller County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hannah Cratic, who posted 14 points. That was a full 38.9% of Miller County's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Rhamya Hughes was another key player, putting up six points and ten rebounds.

Miller County's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Mitchell County, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.

Miller County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mitchell County, they have already played their next matchup, a 47-45 defeat against Pelham on the 11th.
