Volleyball Recap: Clifton Extends Winning Streak to Five

Clifton waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Hamilton Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Clifton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-13.

Brystel Wise paced Clifton's offense, picking up 20 kills. Wise got some help from Madison Otter and her 21 assists. Otter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Scarlett Kennedy, racking up four apiece.

Clifton's win bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Hamilton, with the defeat, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-3.

Clifton and Hamilton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cubs are set to take on their familiar foe Harmony Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hamilton will face off against rival Coleman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
