Soccer Game Preview: Southeast Raleigh vs. Clayton + Official Tickets

The Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Clayton Comets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Southeast Raleigh has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Clayton will arrive with eight straight victories.

Southeast Raleigh fought the good fight in their overtime match against Fuquay - Varina on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. That's two games in a row now that Southeast Raleigh have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Clayton made easy work of Smithfield-Selma on Monday and carried off a 7-1 win. Clayton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Smithfield-Selma from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.

Southeast Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Clayton, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2-1.

Southeast Raleigh might still be hurting after the 7-2 defeat they got from Clayton when the teams last played back in September. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bulldogs were down 4-0.
