Baseball Recap: Nashoba Regional Comes Up Short

Nashoba Regional and West Springfield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nashoba Regional had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Terriers by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by just one run.

Jackson Libby was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Nashoba Regional: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Gudin, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Nashoba Regional now has a losing record of 10-11. As for West Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Nashoba Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Springfield, they will challenge Reading Memorial on Monday.
