Baseball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland couldn't beat Palmyra on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Cougars came up short against the Panthers, falling 21-6. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Palmyra, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will head out to square off against Canton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmyra, they will square off against Clopton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
